While in the midst of transitioning to a COVID-world, I was able to slow down enough to commit to this new hobby of film. I'll be taking everyday shots on my point and shoot camera: the Yashica T2. ​This space is a forum for me to capture the entirety of each roll in an artistic format.

There's something captivating about how present I need to be with film. I enjoy seeing the world through a framed image and finalizing a decision by pressing the shutter button and risking the shot (at the cost of .75 cents/picture). There is little in our society that provides delayed gratification and with film I have a newfound appreciation of surprise; often holding the image in my mind as I first remember capturing it before seeing it in print. I love capturing people this way: absolutely authentically, without the distraction of filters, social media posts, captions, or a continual aesthetic.
